CrowdStrike links South Korea bank hacks to China-based suspect using AI tools
CrowdStrike said a suspected attacker, likely a 26-year-old in Guangdong, used AI coding tools and a Chinese open-source penetration tool in hacks on South Korean financial institutions. The activity, from late September to early October, involved ARTEX and large language models including Anthropic's Claude/ClaudeCode and appears financially motivated.
