   US campaigns tailor messages to influence AI chatbots used by voters

   Political campaigns in the US are adjusting messaging and web content to persuade AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini to present their candidates favourably. A pitch for Republican Mike Minogue recommended creating hundreds of AI-friendly policy pages, tracking chatbot answers and iterating content, with consultants charging from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars a month.
