   Finland orders halt to Google clearing at two data-centre sites

   Finnish authorities have ordered Google (via Tuike Finland Oy) to suspend major preparatory measures at two planned data-centre sites in Muhos and Kajaani after the company carried out extensive tree felling without completing required environmental impact assessments. The Licensing and Supervision Authority (LVV) told the company to stop works by 23 October and to provide a written explanation while the EIA continues.
