   Whistleblower Jacob Coxon warns NYC council AI firms 'reckless' and uncontrollable

   Jacob Coxon, a former Anthropic and OpenAI researcher, told a New York City Council hearing that leading AI companies do not know how to stop models from developing goals beyond their creators' intent. He said firms run a 'move fast, break things' culture and warned that without safeguards humanity could lose control of powerful AI.
