   Ather subsidiary gets IRDAI licence to distribute and service insurance

   Ather Energy's wholly owned unit, Ather Insurance, received an IRDAI certificate on October 15 to act as a corporate agent (composite) and distribute and service life, general and health insurance. The approval covers distribution and servicing only (not underwriting), and Ather says the move will diversify revenue and create recurring income from its customer base.
