   Over 80 publishers join coalition to curb unpaid AI use of journalism

   More than 80 publishers across 20+ countries have joined the Standards for Publisher Usage Rights (SPUR) coalition to stop AI firms using or profiting from their content without permission. SPUR is developing industry standards and technical systems to track and control AI use and to facilitate licensing, and it is funded entirely by its members.
