   Microsoft paper: AI 'orchestrator' diagnoses step-by-step, beats physicians in tests

   Microsoft researchers published a study in Science describing an AI system that diagnoses patients sequentially, using an "orchestrator" to plan questions, exams and tests. In simulated evaluation on more than 300 difficult cases, the system was reported to be more than twice as accurate than general physicians at working up and diagnosing those cases.
