   OpenMobile-2 shows open smartphone agents can rival proprietary models

   Researchers released OpenMobile-2, two open-source smartphone agent models built on Qwen3.5 (9B) and Qwen3.6 (27B), along with the full training environment, data, and instructions. They rebuilt over 35 popular apps and combined those with emulator apps to create a practice dataset covering more than 110 applications to train agents that operate apps and tools.
