   NY bill would require game ownership and offline modes before shutdowns

   Representative Ritchie Torres introduced the Power To The Players Act directing the FTC to set rules so buying a game grants ownership rather than a license. The bill would also require online games to provide an offline mode before servers are shut down, and mirrors similar proposals from other lawmakers.
