   Attackers tried PHP2Shell flaws to deploy Mirai-derived Potassium botnet

   Threat actors attempted to exploit PHP2Shell vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) to install a Mirai-derived botnet called Potassium. Security firm Sophos says weaponizing the flaws appears harder than expected and the malware includes downloader and DDoS capabilities.
