   Unpatched Plex Media servers exploited to install cryptominers

   Researchers report attackers are chaining multiple recently patched Plex Media Server vulnerabilities to compromise unpatched boxes and drop malware. A honeypot operator observed in-the-wild exploitation that deployed a cryptominer and potentially used compromised hosts as proxy hops.
