   PHP issues second Windows security update to fix Brotli code‑execution flaw

   PHP rebuilt its official Windows packages for versions 8.2 through 8.5 to address CVE-2026-111497, a flaw in the included Brotli compression library that can corrupt memory and potentially allow code execution. The vulnerability can be triggered via the cURL extension when it automatically decompresses HTTP responses, though cURL leaves that feature off by default.
