   Google adds AI defenses to Android for messaging scams and call abuse

   Google is rolling out new AI-powered protections on Android to detect scam messages, fake calls and call-forwarding abuse. The features use cloud-based Gemini analysis plus on-device Gemini Nano checks and are currently disabled by default.
