   OpenAI says GPT-6 family much better at writing and migrating legacy code

   OpenAI reports that its GPT-6 models significantly improve performance on low-resource programming languages like COBOL, Fortran and Visual Basic. New evaluations such as MultiLangBench and a COBOL migration benchmark show large gains in test pass rates and migration accuracy versus GPT-5.6 models.
