   Akai opens MPC Sample Key firmware to modders, shows community-made synths

   Akai is offering early devices and open-source firmware for its unreleased MPC Sample Key to encourage a modding community, and has showcased community-created 'vibe-coded' synths running on the hardware. The company says similar community features and open-source efforts will come to the regular MPC Sample line as part of inMusic brands' push to support developers and hackers.
