Anthropic updated its Claude usage policy to prohibit "sustained and needless abusive or cruel behavior" toward its models and tightened restrictions on election interference, weapons development, surveillance and deceptive campaigns. The company says conversation termination remains the primary enforcement mechanism, with the policy change effective November 12 according to one report.
