    MIT showcases humanoid Unitree robots and probes human–robot intimacy

    At MIT’s CSAIL, a tour led by PhD student Wil Norton introduced humanoid Unitree robots (one nicknamed Gabe) to visitors, noting their LiDAR sensors and an estimated real cost around $50,000. The visit coincided with MIT Future Fest events including Dr. Sherry Turkle’s book launch for Artificial Intimacy, which examines how people relate to machines.
