   MIT scholar warns chatbots' intimacy harms human relationships

   Sherry Turkle, an MIT professor, argues in her new book Artificial Intimacy that people are forming unhealthy attachments to chatbots. She says interviews during the pandemic convinced her the trend poses a serious risk to how we relate to others and institutions.
