   Mistral releases public preview of Mistral Large 4, a 1T-parameter multimodal model

   Mistral announced a public preview of Mistral Large 4 on October 6, 2026, offering API access via Mistral Studio and promising to release the open weights by the end of the month. The model is natively multimodal with 1.05 trillion total parameters, 49 billion active parameters, and was trained on 3,800 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs in Mistral’s own datacenters.
