Microsoft will roll out AI-powered, context-aware phishing detection in Teams starting in early November 2026, with targeted release expected to finish by mid-November and general availability between early and mid-December. The feature analyzes conversation context to identify phishing, social engineering, impersonation and deceptive intent in higher-risk scenarios like external first-contact chats without retaining customer message content for further AI training.
