   Samsung forecasts record $80B quarterly profit on AI chip boom

   Samsung Electronics projected an operating profit of 107.4 trillion won ($80.17 billion) for Q3, a near nine-fold jump driven by strong memory and AI chip demand. The company said this would be its fourth straight quarter of record operating profit amid a global memory shortage and higher prices, while warning of risks from Chinese competition and a potential slowdown in AI spending.
