Researchers say attackers compromised AOMEI Backupper update and notification systems between April and July 2026 to push malware to users. The campaign, attributed to UNC7017, delivered a downloader called CROSSROAD and a backdoor named SHINYROAD and affected organisations in multiple countries including India.
