   Nitter maintainer seeks funding and legal help after X Corp. takedowns

   The maintainer of Nitter says X Corp. sent cease-and-desist letters on August 24 and September 8 demanding permanent takedown of Nitter instances and the repository. In an October 10 update the maintainer says the project currently has no legal counsel and is soliciting funding, donations, and legal assistance to continue or create a successor.
