   Microsoft gives Copilot access to local files and OS actions

   Microsoft announced upgrades to Copilot at its Windows and Surface event that let the AI access local files on PCs and take actions across the operating system using a Hybrid Intelligence approach. The company demonstrated an Autopilot demo that searched folders, renamed and zipped files, and drafted an email, and said these features will roll out over the next couple months while a new Windows search experience arrives this fall on Windows 11 PCs.
