   Meta says it removed 5.3M pieces of CSAM in India in H1 2026

   Meta reported it actioned 5.3 million pieces of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on Facebook and Instagram in India during January–June 2026, and said over 98% was found and addressed proactively. The company says it has deployed LLM-driven detection, AI ad sweeps, upgraded ad review frameworks, and red‑teaming AI agents as part of its efforts and will share reports with Indian authorities.

   Florida asks court to force Meta to change Facebook, Instagram for teens

   Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier asked a Pasco County court for a temporary injunction requiring Meta to identify and remove users under 14 in the state, limit teens to two hours a day across apps, and disable features like autoplay and infinite scroll for them. Meta said Florida should instead pressure other platforms and called the requested injunction meritless following its settlement with most other states.
