   HSBC launches RedCoin stablecoin, to offer tokenised HK$100 fund

   HSBC is rolling out a Hong Kong dollar–pegged stablecoin called RedCoin to over 3.3 million PayMe users for peer-to-peer transfers and merchant payments. The bank plans to integrate RedCoin into its mobile banking app by the end of 2026 and will offer a tokenised Hong Kong dollar money market fund with a HK$100 minimum subscription.
