   UK watchdog considers probe of Home Office use of OpenAI generative tools

   The UK Independent Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration is considering investigating the Home Office’s use of generative AI tools — including technology from OpenAI — to assist processing asylum applications. Concerns about the tools’ accuracy and the government's secrecy prompted the inspectorate to ask the Open Rights Group for information as it plans inspection priorities for next year.
