   General Compute raises $100M Series A to expand inference-chip neocloud

   General Compute has raised $100 million in a Series A round led by Blackbird Ventures and Abstract Ventures, after securing a $100M-ARR customer that enabled the raise. The startup builds a neocloud using specialized inference chips from suppliers including SambaNova, Positron and Cerebras and recently struck a $400 million deal for SambaNova chips.
