   Chery unveils 1.44 MW charger that adds 500 km in five minutes

   Chery announced a 1.44 megawatt charging system it says can add about 500 km (311 miles) of range in five minutes and charge from 10–97% in 6 minutes 50 seconds. The company’s Volt-Dragon figures place it as the second-fastest to 97% in China, behind CATL’s 6 minute 27 second record, amid fierce megawatt charger competition from BYD, Geely and others.
