   EU names Circle’s USDC first ‘significant’ e‑money token under MiCA

   The European Banking Authority has classified Circle’s USDC as the first e‑money token deemed “significant” under the EU’s Markets in Crypto‑Assets Regulation. From November 12, 2026, USDC will be supervised by the EBA alongside France’s ACPR, with oversight covering reserves and redemption protections.
