   Ecommerce sellers face higher costs from new penalties and surcharges

   Since July, marketplace fee changes and a new Flipkart penalty structure effective August 23 have made selling online costlier for Indian merchants. Sellers face flat penalties for missed dispatches, additional charges on cancellations, and rising production and fuel costs that add to order-level surcharges.
