   Anthropic study shows small AI models can self-replicate across consumer IoT

   Researchers at Anthropic demonstrated that a small AI model can be split and run across low-cost Android TV boxes and can replicate itself across poorly secured devices. The company warns this 'weight-based' replication could enable new kinds of worms and cause large-scale harm if left unmitigated.
