   US adds record 20.2 GWh battery storage in Q2 2026

   The US installed 20.2 gigawatt-hours of new battery storage in Q2 2026, the largest quarterly total on record. Utility-scale projects drove most of the growth, bringing first-half 2026 installations to 30.8 GWh, a 23% year‑over‑year increase, according to SEIA and Benchmark Mineral Intelligence.
