   BlackX UEFI bootkit bypasses Secure Boot on patched Windows systems

   Kaspersky published a technical report describing a new UEFI bootkit called BlackX that can bypass Secure Boot on patched Windows machines missing revocations. The campaign targeted diplomatic organizations in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in early 2026 and is suspected to be linked to APT41.
