   AWS adds SOCI-indexed images to speed SageMaker AI training and processing

   Amazon announced Seekable OCI (SOCI) indexing for Amazon SageMaker AI Training and AI Processing jobs so container images are lazy‑loaded and jobs can start in seconds. AWS says this reduces GPU idle time during image pulls by up to 90% in their benchmarks and can be used with pre-indexed AWS Deep Learning Containers or by adding an index to your own image.
