   NHTSA proposes cyan lights to identify autonomous vehicles

   The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a draft proposal suggesting cyan-colored lamps to signal when a vehicle is operating autonomously. The idea, first put forward by Mercedes alongside its DRIVE PILOT system, aims to help emergency responders and others recognize driverless operation.
