SK Hynix is seeking US approval to export American chipmaking equipment to its Dalian, China site and has tied that request to plans to build a new NAND factory in the United States. The company says installation in Dalian is being done with US government authorization and that no capacity expansion is sought for the Dalian Mod B unit completed in 2023.
