   South Korea fines Google and Apple 63.7bn won over app market practices

   The Korea Media and Communications Commission fined Google 42.9 billion won and Apple 20.8 billion won for abusing dominance in app stores and violating a 2021 law. The regulator ordered both firms to allow external payment links and to improve app review procedures after finding they pushed developers toward in‑app payments and delayed reviews.
