   Anthropic replaces Git with Scion to handle massive code growth

   Anthropic built a custom version control system called Scion and a code review surface named Antique, migrating their monorepo from Git in five months. The move responds to a surge in merged changes from ~2,500 per day in May 2026 to over 30,000 per day by September 2026.
