   Small team replaces Looker with self‑hosted HTML files and adopts Claude Code

   Three data platform engineers at a ~500‑person company built a simple HTML file host that matched or exceeded Looker’s weekly users after eight months. Adoption of Claude Code with Opus 4.5 also boosted internal tooling and cut Looker usage by about a third.
