   India to publish AI consultation paper in coming weeks, says minister

   Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the government is drafting a consultation paper on artificial intelligence and will release it in the coming weeks to gather inputs from society, citizens and industry. He added the government sees AI risks as having crossed a threshold and also reiterated targets for locally designed mobile phones and a first made‑in‑India chip by 2028.
