   Google Cloud API Gateway supports MCP tools in Public Preview

   Google Cloud API Gateway can now act as a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server in Public Preview, letting teams expose existing REST APIs to agents without running a separate MCP server. Teams annotate their OpenAPI spec, deploy it, and API Gateway transcodes MCP JSON-RPC requests into REST calls while integrating with Cloud Run and other Google gateway products.

   Google used Gemini 4 Argon to speed up a 200,000-line Python codebase

   Google ran Gemini 4 Argon overnight on the google/adk-python repository and reduced in-memory session prep time by about 40% and sped up cold package imports by 21%. The 11-hour unattended run inspected roughly 205,000 lines across nearly 800 files and used the Agent Development Kit workflow with prompts, rulefiles, and human review.
