   Telegram Desktop link bug let attackers steal local files and take accounts

   A vulnerability in Telegram Desktop allowed crafted links to inject commands and trigger an internal URI that reads local files and sends them to an attacker-controlled chat. The bug (CVE-2026-107181) affected versions through 7.2.8 on Windows and was fixed in 7.2.9.
