Image: Gadgets 360

Why it matters for readers: It lets you write messages now and deliver them later, including to groups depending on membership when scheduled.

  • The Android beta (v2.26.40.7) reveals a scheduling tool for text messages, links and media.1
  • Users could schedule messages up to two weeks in advance and manage pending messages in a dedicated section.1
  • Group messages sent via scheduling would be delivered only to members who are in the group at the time the message is scheduled.1
  • The scheduled messages feature may support end-to-end encryption.1
  • The rollout is currently limited and was spotted in the Android beta build only.1
