Simon Willison releases web-edit 0.1a2 with clipboard support
Why it matters for readers: It makes it easier to copy text or images from a browser-based editor when working between devices.
- web-edit is a tiny web app for browsing and editing files in a folder.1
- Version 0.1a2 adds a "copy to clipboard" option for both text and image data.1
- Willison built web-edit mainly to edit files on different machines via Tailscale.1
- He added the clipboard feature because he was running pelican prompts from a phone to a laptop and needed to copy resulting logs into a Gist.1
