The Onion seeks specific back print issues for its archive
Why it matters for readers: If you like old magazines or The Onion, you can check your collection and possibly contribute to their archive.
- The Onion published a list of exact volumes and issues it is seeking for its archive, covering multiple years from 1988 to 2013.1
- Readers who believe they have requested issues are asked to complete a Google Form with details about their copies.1
- The post notes that volume and issue numbers (and dates) appear on the front page and gives examples to help identify issues.1
- An archivist from The Onion will reach out to people whose collections match the gaps.1
