Why it matters for readers: It shows a push to make high-quality AI models available for both big servers and small devices, increasing where these models can run.

  • NVIDIA introduced Nemotron 3.5 Super VL, an open 120-billion-parameter model designed for fast task completion and high accuracy on specialized always-on agents.1
  • Two new edge-focused models joined the release: Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B-A9B 24GB for balanced intelligence and speed per GB, and Bolt E4B 4GB optimized for intelligence per GB for fast conversational agents.1
  • Super VL and Bolt 74B-A9B are available now, while Bolt E4B will be released on Oct. 23.1
  • The three models are positioned to cover deployments from large enterprise servers to edge devices and local hardware, aiming to give organizations an open, optimized model for each tier.1
  • Super VL is said to deliver frontier-level multimodal agent performance comparable to NVIDIA’s largest reasoning model at roughly one-fifth the parameter count.1
