iPhone Duo changes core iPhone navigation and makes unfolding common
Why it matters for readers: It tells you what to expect day‑to‑day if you’re thinking of buying the iPhone Duo so you won’t be surprised by the interface.
- The iPhone Duo’s outer display uses a persistent sidebar instead of the traditional iPhone dock for frequently used apps.1
- Because the sidebar occupies screen space, the front display can feel cramped for tasks like opening websites.1
- Video playback on the front screen hides the sidebar, which is an exception to the persistent bar behaviour.1
- Reviewers found themselves unfolding the Duo more often than expected to use the larger inner display for everyday tasks.1
